~18:50 about stealing the body – I’ve heard that perhaps his followers did it but it was guarded so there’s no way, the Jewish establishment didn’t do it because they would have presented his body to squash growing Christianity but… how about the Romans displacing the body? I haven’t heard anyone cover this possibility. Their motive might have been to drive a wedge between establishment Jews and new Christian sect (Pontius Pilate was tired of the turmoil in the region and didn’t want the Jews united against Rome)? The Romans were in charge of the tomb, "guarding" it so they were in prime position to displace the body. Whatever they did with it could be lost to time?
